Sell your app. Buy a project that already works.
A finished app you have no time to push? A buyer who would rather start from a solid base than from scratch? Testeo frames the deal: listing verification, payment in three instalments tied to the official Google transfer, and transfer of code, accounts and rights under a written agreement.
Current listings
Every listing is checked before publication: code ownership, consistent figures, Play account standing.
No listing online yet. Listings appear here as soon as they have been checked.
Listing happens from your seller space: create an account, describe the app, add two or three screenshots and the link to the live app if it is already in production. Nothing is published before we verify it.
Two journeys, one framework
You sell
- Required file: source code, Play account ownership, install and revenue stats, dependencies and licences, any disputes.
- We check the consistency of the numbers before the listing goes live.
- Free listing. 6% commission charged only if the sale completes.
- You sign an ownership declaration: you warrant that you hold the rights being transferred.
You buy
- Access to the full file after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
- A technical verification window before funds are released.
- Payment in three instalments: 30% on signature, 40% once Google confirms the transfer, 30% after your own technical acceptance. You never pay in full before the app is in your hands.
- Written transfer agreement: intellectual property, trademarks, app name, graphic assets, backend.
How a transaction runs
Submit the file
The seller fills in the technical and financial sheet and provides evidence (Play Console export, revenue, code repository).
Verification
We check consistency, the absence of unlicensed third-party code and the reality of the developer account.
Introduction
The buyer signs an NDA, accesses the detailed file and can ask questions through the platform.
Protocol and deposit
Seller, buyer and Testeo sign a protocol: price, exact perimeter, schedule, and what happens if Google refuses the transfer. The buyer then pays 30% directly to the seller. Above €1,500 the money goes through a real escrow — a notary or a licensed escrow service — named in the protocol. Testeo never holds the funds.
Official Google transfer
The seller files the app transfer request in the Play Console. Never a handover of credentials: selling an account breaches Google policy and exposes both of you to termination. Once Google confirms, the buyer pays 40%.
Delivery, acceptance, balance
Source code, repositories, Firebase, freshly rotated API keys: everything delivered and logged. The buyer has seven days to build and ship a release from their own account. Only then: the final 30%, the commission invoice, and the file is closed.
Legal points to know before selling an app
Two things we refuse to do, whatever we are offered: sell a developer account, and exchange login credentials. Google forbids both, and both accounts go down with it — the seller's and the buyer's. Transferring a Play listing depends on Google's rules: depending on the case it goes through an app transfer between developer accounts or a republication. Signing keys, backend GDPR compliance, open-source licences and registered trademarks all belong in the contract's scope. Testeo provides a transfer agreement template; it does not replace a lawyer's advice for significant amounts.
